| Sophie Shackleton | Sophie Shackleton Graduated in '09 and came to Mali with Michelle on last year's trip. Since, she's been working with Michelle and Seydou to help grow and expand the program. She has been in Bamako since April, working for a local NGO - finding employment for young Malians - as well as helping at Yeredon. She currently has no return ticket to the US. Check out her blog |
| Rob Warner | Rob Warner took Mande this past year and fell in love with West African dance. He is an Environmental Studies concentrator, set to graduate in 2011 after taking some time off and deciding to write a thesis, hoping to get some divine inspiration while in Mali. This will be his first visit to Africa and he is very excited, and would like to thank his god-parents, Susan Kennedy and Bill Buffet, without whom this trip would not be possible. |
